In the next few rounds of golf, the shaft will likely be marked, chafed or scratched by the golf bag or bag tube. Your investment in being able to sell this when you change clubs, has just started to decline, and as more rounds are played, you probably won’t be able to resell the club at all because of the damage.

Graphite Shaft Protector is a clear vinyl label, that is tapered to fit most shaft profiles towards the head end, where abrasion takes place from a golf bag.

It provides a barrier to help against your golf bag chafing or scratching your club, it’s water resistant, and has an adhesive backing, that will enable the label to be removed, should you wish to, without leaving a heavy residue.

The label will not affect the swing weight performance of your shaft.

To apply the label, place the club in your bag and locate the position on the shaft where it is going to be damaged, usually this is where it meets the top of the golf bag partition, or if you have a bag tube, locate where the top of this is on the shaft.

Take the club out of the bag, and apply the centre mark on the label, to your located position, making sure the taper on the label narrows towards the clubhead. It’s best if you apply the label edge first to the centre line of the golf shaft then wrap the label round the shaft. The label is tapered to give a better fit on the shaft so please ensure the smallest label width is nearest the clubhead. The label is sized to ensure it wraps around most shaft sizes near the clubhead, so if it overlaps that’s not a problem, it’s still protecting your shaft.
